Nursing Department Testing Lab Protocol

1. Never give nor receive unauthorized assistance with a test or its contents either in or out of the Testing Lab.

2. a) A College issued photo ID (PantherCard) is required for all tests.

2. b) No beverages or foods are allowed into the Testing Lab.

2. c) Other than your PantherCard and your car keys, you may not bring anything into the Testing Lab, including but not limited to mobile phones and other communication or data-management devices, bags, rolling totes, books, papers, writing instruments, eye-glass cases, hats of any description, nor any other goods or chattels.

3. Be punctual. Arrive outside the Testing Lab about 5 minutes before the scheduled start-time of your test. If you are late, you may not enter the Testing Lab. You should discuss the matter later with your professor who may or may not, at their sole discretion, allow you to take a make-up test at another time; you will not be permitted to enter the Testing Lab for testing at this time.

4. You must start your test immediately upon sitting at your chosen lab work-station. Note-dumping, meditation, prayer or any other permitted time-consuming practice must be performed after you have begun your test.

5. You may not talk to or otherwise communicate with any other student for any reason during a testing period. If you need assistance, please raise your hand to attract the attention of lab staff.

6. You may not leave the lab during a test for any reason. Make sure you are comfortable before arriving for a test. If you choose to leave during a test, your test will be scored at that point.

7. You will receive a signature sheet when you arrive for each test. Please read the instructions to make sure you take the correct test and fill out the form when you have completed the test. Your signature is mandatory.

8. Please be quiet at all times outside the lab. Congregating and talking outside the lab before or after a test will disturb others who are testing.

“Become One with the test and it will guide you.”

Thank you. Following this straight-forward protocol will make the testing experience less stressful for all.
